Climate Change

Climate change has been an ablaze issue since the 1980’s . Today , it has become the greatest threat for human existence and if necessary steps are not taken in time , it may lead to extinction of all forms of life from this earth.

Viewing the upcoming threat , students from more than hundred countries demonstrated a protest against the lack of address to the problem. The upcoming threat inspired thousands to skip school and protest on the streets about the lack of climate awareness and the refusal of attention by the officials towards this problem. The movement was kicked off by a Swedish girl , Greta Thunberg , last summer. The youth took to the streets on March 15 worldwide protesting about the existential situation using posters and banners.

We can already see the feared consequences of this problem as an Indian island known as Ghoramora is sinking down. Thousands still live in the global warming affected island. This has caused huge population displacement and the island has lost around 50% of its total land. A recent study shows that around four islands are completely underwater and another ten are at a risk of seeing the same fate as the four in the same area.
