A dentist is a person who is a monster for everyone. He is often avoided by all when he is with the most frightful weapons on the earth , his tools. Yesterday was a black day for me as it was my first visit to a dentist. My cousins gave me a huge amount of chocolates on Sunday as it was my birthday. I was so eager that at night I ate all of them and as a result I ended up having a cavity. Next day my mother conned me that we are going to an amusement park but I ended up going to the monster’s cave. I was in a dentist’s clinic. I felt like I was knocking at my enemy’s door. I was tongue-tied at that moment. I was flabbergasted and felt betrayed. Suddenly , I heard a blood curdling scream. A shiver ran down my spine. I was totally astounded. I had already started sweating. I was hoping for a miracle to happen but finally it was my turn. My heart was beating twice faster. My legs had turned to jelly. The fat grumpy nurse squeezed my hand and pushed me inside. I was just wanted to get out of that haunted house but it felt like a rosy dream. I was put in a reclining chair and given some medicated water to drink. When the dentist’s tools touched my cavity , I felt an excruciating pain in my tooth. So in the end I was given an anesthesia spray to numb my tooth. It felt like a road was under construction and ultimately it was over! I opened my eyes and I was told that the cavity was filled. I heaved a sigh of relief. The dentist also suggested that I should have some ice-cream. It was not as bad as I thought it would be but I hope I shall never face such a predicament again. It is rightly said by Ogden Nash , “Some tortures are physical , some mental but one that is both is dental.”
