Stress

Stress is an unseen ailment which disturbs the equilibrium of our harmonious life. It is something that affects many people each and every day. It is anything that poses a challenge or a threat to our well being. It is an internal state which can be caused by physical demands or by environmental and social situations. In this century , everyone will face stress in one or other way.

It manifests in impaired attention , poor concentration , heart attack , hair loss , bowel disturbances , skin problems etc. Stress disturbs the mental state of a person leading to anger , frustration , envy etc. Stress is a very common problem among teenagers. Students are running a rat race for marks which often results in stress. They have to conform to the norms of the teen society; They need to have status in the society ,  have a respectable attire and always be infashion. But if they don’t have this , they gradually develop stress. Many a times , they develop the phobia of public humiliation at a tender age.

Stress can prove very harmful. So , in order to cope with stress , we need to organise and schedule our activities. We should eat a sensible diet , walk or excercise , think positive , meditate etc. We must concentrate on the present and future will take care of itself. We should practice saying NO and take that much that we can handle. We should always smile as it costs nothing but relaxes all our chain muscles. One must understand that he/she must not try to become a perfectionist , he/she is human not god. We should play with our pet and enjoy simple pleasures of life. We should take out some time to waste it. Comparing teenagers with others always results in stress. He/She should always follow his/her own heart instead of doing something because of pressure or by force.

Teenagers need adult guidance. Parents and teachers should spend quality time with them. Teenagers should make this the best time of their life as this time won’t come again. It is said that the tough get going when the going gets tough. Teenagers must try to become optimist rather than pessimist as a Pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity whereas an Optimist sees opportunity in every difficulty. Teenagers must understand that they are like clay. They can mould themselves in whichever way they want. It is in their hands to make or break themselves.
