FASHION

In this modern world , fashion is a hot craze for everybody. People follow it blindly and are fanatic about it. Nobody wants to get out of fashion and as a result they drain their money without thinking. This world is like a pizza and fashion is the cheese in it. Mainly teenagers are obsessed by fashion. They sacrifice their money , looks and comfort just to be in the forefront. They want to become the cynosure. Parents are confused about this craze as it changes like the leaves of a tree. Children start neglecting their studies. Many times teenagers get duped by buying clothes with fake labels. The hard earned money gets wasted in buying branded clothes and luxury items like mobiles , shoes , video games , T.V. etc.

Fashion can be of anything – shoes , clothes , T.V. , hats , furniture , games , mobiles , cars etc. But for the teenagers this ongoing trend refers to the way an individual dress ups and what makes them look stylish and sophisticated. The word fashion promptly brings to our mind a flash of colour and glamour. It is also considered as a means of self expressions and to feel accepted in the socio-economic circle. Among the students it primarily denotes the way of dressing up and hair styles. It enhances their physical beauty and personality.

Impact of this trend can be seen on teenagers as well ass adults. It lures and entices the youth as well as the mature grown ups. Once Paris dictated the fashion world but now the time has changed. India has become a fashion hub in this 21 st century. Designers such as Manish Malhotra , Ritu Kumar , Ritu Beri , Sabhyasachi etc. are well known and dominate the fashion world in India. Shopping sites such as Jabong , Snapdeal , Myntra , Amazon etc deliver fashion at our doorstep. Malls are available at every nook and cranny of the country. Actor and actresses along with both Hollywood and Bollywood movies trigger the fashion world wide. They have become the temples of fashion. The young blood imitates them to look attractive. The big branded showrooms are on the lips of everybody. Fashion weeks and annual shows are conducted frequently in different parts of the country. This is making fashion a very fast growing industry in India. Indian accessories such as Bangles , Mehendies and Bindies have gained international popularity. Fashion icons like Madonna and Gwen Stefani have been inspired by the Indian fashion. Victories of Indian Beauty Queens in global events like Miss World and Miss Universe contests have also popularised the Indian fashion around the globe. The fusion of both Indian as well as Western fashion can be seen even today.

Fashion in India vary depending on climatic condition of the region too. In the northern most state of Jammu and Kashmir , people wear tight and thick clothes to avoid the bone-chilling cold while in the south people wear loose clothes like the men wear mundu and women wear sarees to bear the scorching heat. In the western states of Rajasthan and Gujrat , men wear dhoti and turbans while in the eastern states people wear sarong and woven shawls.

In the end I would like to say that to follow the latest inovations and to be trendy is not a bad thing. It is said that fashion is the armor to survive in this modern world. But it should be within a limit. Following it blindly and crossing the boundary leads to a wastage of time as well as money. We even neglect our work. So , we should wear what is convenient to us and should maintain the decorum of life.
